Medical Student Volunteer Opportunity
The Alfred is looking for patient volunteers for their 𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘀𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗽𝘀!
In return, you will be taught 𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙧𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙪𝙣𝙙-𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙙𝙚𝙙 𝙄𝙑 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙪𝙡𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 , as well as how to scan other parts of the body by experienced clinicians!

Introduction to US course for Medical Students
MECCSIG is excited to share Emergency Medicine Ultrasound Groups (EMUGS’) Introduction to Point of Care Ultrasound course, 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀! Scanning will be supervised by experienced ultrasound users and teachers.
Medical students will have the opportunity to perform hands-on scanning (on each other) to learn:
Basic cardiac and lung ultrasound
Intra-abdominal FAST examination technique
Needle guidance for peripheral vascular access
